Unifying two small apartments on the groundfloor of a villa in the Rosehill area of Budapest in order to create a comfortable and beautiful home for a young couple who just have started their family life. The priority was to create a funcionally well-working interior, optimise the layout and let as much light as possible in to the apartment. So all the windows and doors were widened in the same style, we optimised the lighting and used mainly light colours.
Traditionally, the kitchen is the center of the family life, so we decided to apply this arrangement of historical houses putting the dining area in the very center of the whole apartment. We made the kitchen in the center and all the other spaces in the apartment are approachable from this space.
The apartment was featured in a home design magazine.
