Jaime Hayón - 20 Years of Works

Jaime Hayón is one of my all time favourites, most inspirational designer for me.
I’m very lucky to live in the city, Valencia where he has his own studio and visit the exhibition of his works. The title of the exhibition is “InfinitaMente” (Infinitely) describes well his approach on design. Seeing his magical art- and design objects, you can feel that the limit is the sky, seriously.
I’m following his works since he first time showed up in the Salone del Mobile, in Milan with his signature mask collection. He immediately stood out from the young talent’s group exhibition.
Apart from that I adore all his work for their uniqueness, playfulness and freedom, I admire his techinque to get inspirations from everywhere and translate all the surroundings, colours and feelings into an art piece in his own world. This piece can be furniture, lamp, carpet, vase, picture or some small or big objects, even a huge installation.
The exhibition can be visited in an amazing venue, the CCCC – Centro del Carmen de Cultura Contemporánea in Valencia which is an old monastery building transformed beautifully into a contemporary modern art centre.
